Hey Dallas!!! Shane's birthday party seems to be going just fine for now. Cassie seems on her best behavior for now and was impressed on how well she handled her son's ordeal with Robin by giving him the best advice possible. But the question still remain will Max take it or not? I like the chemistry he has with Paige too as friends. Shane's party will be the focal point for the rest of the week. A party is a good way to do dailies cause I can have many people at the same venue in different scenes. The Max/Robin story is moving along, the question really is: will anyone ever find out what he did to Adam? Tyler has a habit of going after women who are in marriages i.e. Kim and now Daisy. It seems he is attracted to her and it seems Daisy isn't happy in her marriage anymore. However, I wonder is Daisy going to have an affair with Tyler or will she comes to her senses before it's too late? This is another storyline that sort of plays out all week; You'll see Vinny worried about where Daisy is and meanwhile she will be with Tyler. You're right though, the question is ... will Daisy cheat on her husband? Or can they find their way back to one another? Liking the friendship between Dawn and Cheresa. Although, it seems Dawn had more time for an abortion it has more drama with her having the baby and I strongly believe with Cheresa's advice where her child might end up with? Good Start Bre I really like Dawn and Cheresa as well; they have their time at the bible camp that really bonded them. It seemed like a natural idea for Cheresa to have about adoption since she, herself, is adopted. There are some really fun twists coming up in this storyline. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy the rest of the week! Dallas

I knew that Meggan was somehow going to convince Brad to be the "Father" of her baby. I'm awaiting on his answer though. I mean it sounds like these two haven't had much contact since they left college so it seems Meggan feels desperate by doing this. Although, this story is adding another layer to the messy and complicated Jeff/Leah/Robbie/Meggan quad. I have no doubt that Brad will agree to Meggan's little proposal, since it serves to solidify his place in her life, which appears to be something that he wants. I don't think either of them is really going to think through the complexity of this and what it will take to follow through with it, but it definitely throws a new wrench into a bunch of lives, which is the goal of plotting a soap. I am sure you all saw request from Meggan coming, but your points, it definitely adds some soapy twists to the story line. This is actually how Brad's parents will first be introduced – he will reveal that he got a girl preggers. And yes, neither one has really thought about what this means going forward … but that is part of the fun of a secret like this. Tyler seems to be attracted to Daisy and vice versa. however, I like that you're writing Daisy with having second thoughts about starting something with Tyler. I hope the situation with Trenyce and Chris will give Daisy some more caution before launching into a possible affair. And Poor Vinny! He seems so headstrong about saving his marriage. I do think there was some noticeable spark between Daisy and Tyler, but he's being pushy with her the way he was with Kim, and it's not a cute look. No means no. At least Daisy wasn't totally loathsome and quick to jump at his come-ons, but she really needs to watch it. Vinny is so devoted to her. I liked the use of history with having him consult Chris about his own marriage to Daisy (and Chris's honesty that he was the one in the wrong there). I find it interesting that Tyler seems to have a pattern of being attracted to taken women; first with Kim and now with Daisy. It is not exactly a redeeming quality. In Tyler's defense, Daisy is still giving him messages that she is interested. It's like she's saying no but winking back to him. There are some fun soapy scenes coming up in the dailies with this story line. As I was reading the scenes between Cassie and Natasha I was hoping Nat would record this. And I'm so glad she did. Both women did have valid appoint about one another. Nonetheless, I know that Shane's birthday party will be unforgettable. When you mentioned Natasha taking out her phone and then quickly putting it away, I knew she'd set it up to record. Stupid of Cassie to blurt out her plan, but she's been so eager to stick it to Natasha that I wasn't entirely surprised. Then again, she made some very valid points about just how fixated on her Natasha is. It's funny, because Natasha is acting like a nut about this, but she's also not wrong -- everyone *should* be furious that Cassie is just sashaying around free! It was stupid of Cassie to blurt it out, but she loves to get that rise out of Natasha. Of course, had she known that Natasha was recording their conversation, she wouldn't have said anything … but that's what makes it a soap. And, of course, this will make the party (which the dailies are set for) much more interesting! Finally Robin finally told Max stop coming onto her. I'm wondering if Max is going to retaliate in order to get the woman he has an obsession over. I was delighted that Bob told Kim they need to change the name of Tyler's plan, hahaha. And I appreciate Robin being so frank with Max. He's not going to listen, but at least Robin is being smart about this. HA! Yes, TeenLand was my first idea but it sounded so dumb so I threw that in there that they had to change the name. And yes, Robin really laid it down for Max. Will it sink in this time? Time will tell! Thanks for reading guys, much appreciated as always! D

A longer episode than usual but I love it. I was hoping we were going to get a follow up scene with Brad and Meggan but saw that it is in the outline for next week's episode. I cannot wait what she asks him.(I got a feeling what it is.) Yes, next week we see what happens with the Brad/Meggan story line. It will be an interesting twist coming, that's for sure! Natasha remaining on Cassie's tail fills me with so much joy even if might strongly affect her personal life with Cory and Shane. It seems like everyone has given her a pass for her misdeeds in Twin Peaks except for Natasha. I'm wondering what are going to be the bombshells revealed at this birthday party for Shane? My favorite line came from Adam about wishing he had popcorn as he watches his exes confront one another. There is still some plot points coming that will determine what will all happen at the birthday party; the aftermath of the birthday will have so many new directions for some story lines. I'm glad that you're enjoying Natasha vs. Cassie ... these scenes are some of my favorite to write because they are so full of history! I enjoyed Paige and Cheresa getting to know one another. They have a growing friendship which is needed since Dawn right now is dealing with things that no adolescent/young adult shouldn't have to be dealing with. I'm glad you're enjoying the introduction of Cheresa. I was purposely going slow introduce her (and Brad) because I hate when newbies are shoved down our throats. Max remains delusional in his quest to hook up with Robin. I mean he does not understand that she is not interested in him at all. Yes, Max definitely has some rose colored glasses on when it comes to Robin. Of course, part of it that he has gone to such extremes to get Robin, so he's in deep. Tyler's idea reminds me of the good ole "Glow By Jabot days" I love when a series actually develop their younger generation which you're doing quite. I like that Kim was like you better not be in the same with Bob when I pitch this idea to him. It seems that he is hitting the ground running to make everyone see that he has what it takes to be a businessman like Dominick. Yes! This was my inspiration for the upcoming summer storyline actually. Putting the younger kids in a fun summer storyline. Before we get there, we will see romances start to bloom to add more drama to the situation. Poor Vinny! He is a good man and Daisy feels like she can't confide in him about Jemma. It seems like perhaps they need some time away to find their way together or perhaps see a marriage counselor (Cassie?) And I'm wondering if Daisy is going to use this campaign season as a distraction from her husband, Tyler Jemma or maybe it will a way for them to find themselves back together? I don't know but Vinny and Daisy is one of my favorite couples on ODAAT. Barbara is free!!! Great Episode! Bre Yes, Vinny is being left out by Daisy right now. I do get both sides of this marriage's dynamic; Vinny just wants to be let in but Daisy is grieving and thinks Vinny is somehow responsible for Jemma's passing. The election will be a very fun part of this storyline, I can't give too much away. Yes, Barbara is free! but we will see her struggles continue in the up coming episodes. Thanks for reading! D

I must say that I love those updated cast photos. Thank you! It is one piece that I always look forward too at the start of each year; it's nice to give everyone an updated look or age people accordingly if they need to be. Poor Dawn! It seemed like she wanted to go through having the abortion but being told she can't have it because she is further along in her pregnancy. I'm wondering how she is going to deal with this going forward. 2) Will Dawn go to a doctor or abortion clinic that actually follows the law? She could get an abortion up to 24 weeks in most places. And I didn't entirely buy that she wouldn't be hyper-aware of the exact date this baby was conceived and how that falls as far as legality of abortion. I know you probably want her to go through with the pregnancy for dramatic purposes, but it felt really weird to throw in this random non-law just to get there. To be honest, I'm not sure about any laws or regulations that prevent you from having an abortion. Maybe it is different from Canada to the US? I only threw in the 16 week aspect because that is what my sister was told when she was pregnant. Again, maybe it is different within the countries, I'm not sure. In any event, the thought process of the plot point was that she tried to end the pregnancy but she wasn't able too. She has to carry out the pregnancy to term. I like that Helen told Adam basically to stop being an idiot and tell Robin about his impotency. Helen I feel like is the one person who can always be as honest as she has to be with Adam. In this case, she is telling him to be honest, which of course he should be. But WILL he be? I thought Bob would have a stronger hesitation to the man who knocked up his wife and stole the formula to his facial cream coming to work at the company. Although, it seems he is doing to piss off Dominick even more. Tyler also seems like he wants revenge on his father which makes it a game of tit for tat. I wanted Felicia to come out of her slumber when Eva was trying to act as the Robertson's matriarch lol I really like this dangerous game of shifting alliances going on with the Robertson and Calimo clans. The ONLY way I could see Kim (or Bob!!!) ever trusting Tyler is in the wake of something as dramatic as Blake's death, but I'm actually buying that they'd want him at Roboto now -- more to spite Dominick than anything, but I thought Bob having security concerns and making them clear was a good way of skirting the insanity of it all. Is it bad that I started laughing when Felicia woke up and immediately blurted out that she'd started the fire? I just think of her as perpetually deranged, which made it funnier. I do like this game of back and forth as well. It adds some intrigue to the business story lines because it is all personally based in reality. At this point, Bob is wrapped around Kim's finger which is why was okay with Tyler coming to work for him and his company. This is a soap opera so a lot of people tend to have relatively short memories about whom has hurt them. That being said, how long will it last? And Poor Meggan!!! The man she wanted to be with wants to be with Leah. I got a suspicion on how Brad will come into this pregnancy storyline. I like the interaction with Brad and Cheresa. I like how you're introducing the Lawson clan slowly onto the canvas. I know you aren't a fan of the Rosales either so I take it that you're using as inspiration for you to show them without them taking over the series. And it was nice to have Brad and Cheresa's relationship revealed/explained -- it's helpful that they've both been introduced via known main characters rather than just at random. To be honest with you, I am so far ahead in my writing that I had written the introductions of the Lawson's way before we knew that the Rosales were expanding. I've just always appreciated when new characters are introduced by pairing them with an established character as it is then easier to care for them. There will be scenes coming up with the entire family as a whole, but for the most part, I have the newbies with other characters. To the tune of Ingrid Michaelson's Girls Chase Boys "Boy chase Boys chase boys" Lukas wants Andy but Donovan wants Lukas but Craig seems like he would settle for Andy. It's a tight quad. I had a feeling that Andy didn't necessarily would want to move on with Lukas. Sometimes it's good to have a hook up and acknowledge "No, I'm good" {quote author=Michael] Lukas actually impressed me this episode! I thought he was going to throw a tantrum when Andy, who was being super responsible and respectful, bought him breakfast and actually told him in plain terms that he's having complicated emotions and isn't ready to dive headlong into something new. But Lukas was reasonable about it and didn't make it all about himself, which seems like major growth. Oh, and I really liked how you had the unlikely crew of Victoria, Craig, and Robin in a scene. It was interesting to have Craig talking to Victoria, given his current dynamic with Donovan, and then for Robin to bring up Victoria and Adam's past as a way of trying to gain insight about her own situation with Adam.[/quote] I think Lukas reaction was pretty spot on; if someone had told me that they weren't ready to fully move on yet because of his dead spouse, that would make me not want to be upset with him/her. I think it shows that Lukas IS a human being, he's just often self-absorbed. But, I really liked Andy's reaction because I think it did ring true. And, I'm glad you liked the Victoria/Craig/Robin scene. It seems sometimes like the characters only engage with those in their storylines, so it was nice to give Craig a "friend" who isn't a gay male. I also thought it was a nice way to bring up Victoria's history with Adam. Sometimes it's nice to have a refresher. Victoria telling Robbie "I love you, but I love me more" is something I will never get tired of hearing that. Robbie wants his cake and eat it too. Nevertheless, I hope Victoria's psyche can handle all of this change. This was probably their most adult discussion about everything that they have been through together. Of course, Victoria didn't change her mind about how she feels so it will be up to Robbie to try to move on now. 1) What the hell day is it? Lukas and Andy are still having their New Year's morning breakfast, but everyone else seems to be days further down the road, referring to New Year's like it was a week ago. Is James E. Reilly consulting?! HA! This is a case of not having more than one episode per week and trying to stay in "real time". All the gays had sex NYE and so their discussions have been "morning after" type of discussions vs. everyone else moving along in real time. So in the wrapped time, it was Jan 1st for Andy/Lukas and later for everyone else. Thanks for reading and leaving your commentary! Dallas

The new website is nice. Also I love seeing new pics of the characters and updated bios. It reminds me that I need to add onto my character bios on my website for last year as well. Congratulations on the site refresh, Dallas! It's nice and clean. I like the organization a bit more, too, with the buttons up top beside the logo. And it's always fun to have updated cast pics! Thanks guys! I'm glad you enjoy the updated site. I've had my finger on it for a while so it is nice to finally have it out in the open for everyone to enjoy! I'm liking the growing younger generation with Cheresa having a bonding scene with both Andrew and Paige. I think I know where Cheresa's backstory is going to entail but cannot wait to go on the ride with everyone else. She seems like a fun-loving character which we don't get to see a lot of anymore on soaps. I like the vibe among the younger crowd. Cheresa is a nice, fresh inclusion, and she isn't so serious. I hope they don't try to force Dawn to snowboard while she's pregnant, LOL. But I like how that whole crew is shaping up. I'm glad you guys are into the younger generation so far! I think having the core characters involved and by adding a couple of new ones (Cheresa and soon her sister Abby) will be ideal. Like I said, I really love the summer story line planned for these kids. I don't feel sorry for Robbie. He wanted his cake and eat it too and finally he is feeling what Victoria has basically felt since Leah came back from the dead. Though I did like how he and Leah were civil together. Robbie is certainly getting a taste of his own medicine in this case. It's called karma! I actually enjoy the new direction this will give the character. Changing things up like this can be fun and required every so often. Characters in new orbits is a good thing. Also I think I know where this story is going with Meggan being pregnant with Jeff's baby. It seems like now he is in the same spot that Robbie was in with loving two women but trying to stay faithful with one. Brad seems like a sweet guy who is going to help Meggan with whatever she decides. Based on the ending, I can't tell if Jeff actually heard anything about a baby, but my guess is that Meggan is not going to tell him the truth. He'll probably tell her about Leah right away, and she'll cover. Brad sure is a good friend, though he seems awfully focused on Meggan for someone he hasn't seen in years... I could see that turning dark, too. Brad, for right now, is just a nice guy supporting the woman he's always carried a torch for. But like Michael said, it could change at some point. The next episode is a pretty big one for the Meggan/Jeff storyline! And Natasha being proactive about Cassie has me happy. I mean she is the only one who seems to be like this crazy heffa is still in town and no one else cares what she did to me and everyone else all those years ago. Her mission is obviously going to have an affect on her marriage and possible chances of adopting a baby with Cory. As well as Shane too. Looks like the pieces are moving into place for the 2019 stories. Natasha isn't wrong to be fixating on Cassie -- like Bre said, WHY is this loon allowed to have a medical license, let alone run around free at all?! -- but I think she's going to make her own life a lot more complicated in the process. I also have this sense that Cassie's going to needle her even further by getting mixed up with Robbie, who is currently at loose ends. Meanwhile, her crazy-ass son is going to become even more of a creep now that he knows Adam is impotent. I hope Robin stays wise to him. HA! Yes, Cassie is running around the town acting like nothing ever did happen. It's a soap opera, so anything is possible! The Natasha/Cassie rivalry continues to be one of my favorite things to write because they just get under each other's skin. I enjoyed how Andy kept shutting Lukas down the morning after their tryst. It's about time Lukas got a bit of his own medicine. This actually makes me root more for Andy. It seems like he's in touch with his emotions. And why not have some fun if he's single and getting back out there? Doesn't mean he needs to get tied down. I really like how emotionally intelligent Andy is; you'll see more of this in the next episode with Andy and Lukas together again. The shape of the story line will continue to take place over the next couple of weeks! Thanks for reading guys, I really appreciate it! Dallas

So Meggan finally finds out that she is pregnant with Jeff's baby. According to spoilers I'm assuming Jeff isn't going to take the news well. I think I know how Brad is going to come into this story but he's a good person for wanting to stick around to watch his friend take a pregnancy test and hear all about it too. Leah finally chosen her man Hallelujah!!! I kind of felt sorry for Robbie but knows he deserves it for being so indecisive when it comes to making his own choice between she and Victoria. This time it seems that Leah is going to be competing with Meggan and the baby. One of the stories I'm looking forward to next year too. I had a feeling that Leah was going to choose Jeff just as Meggan found out she's pregnant with his baby. Maximum soapiness that way! You get Leah/Jeff, Meggan/Brad, and then Robbie cast off on his own having lost both women. Lots of story to tell that way. I really did think this outcome would have the maximum possible future drama/storylines. And it seems so soapy to have Leah choose Jeff just as Meg realizes that she is preggers. It sets up a new triangle of sorts (really just an extension of what was currently playing out) but it removes Robbie from the situation so he can move off into his new orbit. Brad does play a role in this moving forward as well. January is a pretty big month for this storyline moving forward. I like how slowly you're integrating Cheresa onto the canvas and having her meet Andrew and Paige. And she already knows Dawn from that hell aka bible camp. I liked how Cheresa was integrated with the other young people (teens? young adults?). You have a pretty solid group of younger characters now, all with useful and important connections. One of my goals was to beef up the younger generation. I started this when I aged Dawn and Paige, but I really did need characters than just the two females. Now that Andrew and Max are in the mix and we have Cheresa, it is a nice younger set to play with. As I mentioned in the 2019 preview, the younger set have a fun summer storyline that I enjoy a lot (think Glo by Jabot from Y&R). Andy and Lukas do have a strong attraction of the laidback cad and the responsible widower. Though I can see Andy struggling feeling as if he is betraying Reese's memory down the line. Finally, Andy gets some! I honestly don't really care who in that quad is with whom, because the relationships all feel rather interchangeable, but I want Lukas to be left alone for being such a dick, lol. Craig, Donovan, and Andy all seem sane and responsible, so any combinations of them make sense. Yes, Andy FINALLY gets some! So long overdue, really. In terms of the couplings, pretty early into the new year we see ends up with who and then, hopefully, the couples start getting some rooting value. The Donovan/Craig/Lukas triangle has been back and forth and partners swapping for so long it’s kinda icky at this point, so it is time to move away from that, at least for a while! I was surprised (pleasantly so) that Adam opened up to Helen! Maybe she'll be able to beat some sense into him. But it does seem like an additional opportunity for them to grow closer again. I like that Robin is on to Max and shut him down. Adam and Helen will always be close because of how many years they spent together, it seemed natural that Adam would confide in her about his condition. But you’re right, maybe Helen can talk some kind of sense into him! Congratulations on making it to 2018 you've done a lot of pivotal arcs which I know haven't been easy but it was worth the time and readership. Here's to a great 2019! Thanks for all the entertainment in 2018. Thank you both so much for your continued support, it really is appreciated! Happy New Year to you both! Dallas

Hey Dallas!!! This episode seems like a lot of truths will soon be exposed Shelley is right to get Dawn to think about how she is going to deal with her pregnancy knowing she doesn't have a lot of time to sit back and wait. I kind of wish Helen would still have a small confrontation with her mother with everything happening, but she is more concerned with her getting out of prison which means she have been behind bars for awhile now. Shelley is really trying to make Dawn see any potential options that she has, because as you said, time isn't on her side if she does decide that she doesn't want to keep the child. This story line really takes more shape in the upcoming year! Helen right now is really focused on putting her family back together and that means trying to help Babs get out of jail. If or when that will happen is another thing altogether! Brett having to tell Meggan that she might be pregnant was funny. About time she discovers she might be in the family way with Jeff's baby which is only going to complicate matters with Leah finally choosing which man she wants. I must say that it is about time for her to finally admit who she wants. 2019 is going to be an exciting year for ODAAT Good Read! Bre Yes, like I said to Michael, I thought Brett mentioning it would be funny but it could have easily have slipped Meg's mind. It doesn't take long for her to find out if she is actually with child ... and Leah makes her choice in the next episode! Thanks so much for reading! D
