Poor Vinny! I know Daisy still blames him for incriminating Jemma in addition to her grief of the mother she never knew and the aunt she loved all of her life. But Daisy seems over Vinny and Tyler is a distraction from her troubles. I just realized that Trenyce and Tyler were once involved too. Those Davenport women have shared a few men over the years. You know, part of what I love about this storyline is that Daisy and Trenyce have shared Tyler now. It adds to the soapiness of the entire affair. And yes, Poor Vinny! He will really lose his mind when this all comes out because he has been trying his damnedest to get through to Daisy. Nice Introduction for Nicholas! Can't wait to see how his arrival into town will shake up the canvas. Thank you! Sometimes you need a new character or two to shake things up. Nicholas will be featured in a new storyline, one that I haven't really told before. Natasha versus Cassie is always gold! Robbie trying to intervene made me smile whilst Natasha rightfully explained why she will never forget/forgive Cassie. At the end it seems when Robbie called out for Cassie he was willing to hear her out. Natasha finding some common ground with Dawn however was a nice touch. It seems Shelley wants to ask her if Dawn is still interested in her or not? But seems to put it in different words. I think Shelley is realizing that perhaps to the age difference and emotional place currently Dawn might not be ready to continue a romantic relationship. Good Episode! Bre I'm glad you enjoyed the Natasha vs. Cassie scenes! They are truly fun to write for because of how much they detest one another and with all the history they share. Robbie was dumped, again, so it will be neat to see where he goes from here. And yes, the Shelley/Dawn situation is coming to a head slowly. Hopefully they can figure it out and move on from there. Thanks for reading! Dallas

With my family trip and Coachella out of the way, I was able to catch up on the most recent episodes last night! Sucks to get behind, but it's always fun to be able to binge a few. Your pictures at Coachella looked like a lot of fun! I hope you had a great time. (Based on Insta, I've often wondered if it's really a musical festival or an #instagay festival with all the shirtless babes there haha) Adam, you shameless dog! I hope Robin reads him for filth when this comes out. Yeah, he broke up with her before sleeping with Helen, but it still feels shady. I always felt as though he and Helen would reunite, especially since they've been so tied together in co-parenting, and I think they both subconsciously knew, too. Helen wasn't too hurt by Chris breaking things off, and in fact didn't seem super-invested in that relationship, and Adam almost seemed to be going through the motions with Robin. Maybe his impotence wasn't even physical, but psychosomatic -- like he was holding out for Helen. We never really found out any specifics about it on the medical end, just that he was diagnosed as "impotent," so that strikes me as most likely. I don't really know where this leaves Robin once the decks clear, but she could be due for a fresh start. Clever of Brad to tell Max that he's interested in Robin (although given what they suspect, he could be putting himself in danger!), and since Max is so impulsive, he might take the bait. It does feel shady because when he has been alone he has admitted that he still loves Robin, he just didn't want her to be with a "less" man, so to speak. That being said, he and Helen have always had a connection of some kind. It will be interesting to see what Adam does if/when the truth about Max comes out (which if it does, would be all on Robin's digging) and where he goes from there, and how Helen fits into the puzzle now. I was sure that you'd get the younger crew all in the Gen Next House (otherwise, where's the story?) but it's nice to see a few of them questioning whether they really want to do this or not. I love that Andrew was like, "I have no idea what I'd do with my summer." Don't these young adults have anything going on? Do they go to school? Have jobs? I do wonder how Andrew can atone for how he screwed with Chris and Helen (and Trenyce). At this point, coming clean might be his best bet. No one was physically endangered, the damage is reversible, and it's only going to get worse the longer it goes on. Confessing would even show some growth. But I don't think it'll be that simple... You're right, I wanted at least some of the younger generations to be uninterested in going into the House but seemingly, most, of them will end in the house for the story line purposes. The house dynamic will be interesting with some of the twists still coming up in the storyline. And yes, if Andrew confesses it would make everything okay. But this is a soap ... it will always be slightly more complicated than that I understand everyone's concerns about Kim and Bob remarrying, but at the same time, they're already living and working together. What does it really matter if they are technically married or not, you know? They'll turn on one another when the time arises, so might as well just accept it and not stress, people. I am finding their latest allegiance pretty enjoyable, though. I just love how Bob and Kim are in this phase of "us vs. the world" and don't care about it. Of course, when the truth about the fire eventually comes to the surface, there will be many more fireworks, but for now, they are riding high on this wave, regardless of what anyone else says or thinks. It was nice to get more of an update on Shelley and where she stands with regards to this whole Dawn/Cheresa thing. Part of me thinks that Shelley is not going to be pleased when they inevitably do get together. She's been very cool about things thus far, but how long can that last? There are some big changes coming up in this story that will really push these characters into the next phase of the storyline. People have sort of been walking on eggshells around Dawn lately and that isn't going to change up coming ... The Brooke/Robbie encounter was intriguing, especially given the Kim/Greg flirtation of a few weeks back. Hmm. Looks like the Lawson clan is really going to get mixed in with the rest of Twin Peaks. I squealed when Natasha caught Cassie and Robbie! I hate to say it, but it's always a bit of a trip to see Natasha get gut-punched like that. Should be some fun fireworks. Fun episodes! Looking forward to everything on the horizon for later spring and summer. My goal was always to let the new family interact with as many series regulars as possible. Brooke, thus far, has just been with the family but she will branch out very soon. I love Natasha but it is fun to put her into situations where you know her blood is going to boil. Thanks again for reading! I appreciate you taking the time! D

I must say that this was a great episode Dallas!!! Thanks Bre! I'm glad that you liked it. I wasn't expecting Bob to have a surprise engagement party for Kim and himself. I thought they were going to have dinner with just the two of them at the mansion. One of the things I love about soaps in general are big events where the majority of the cast gets together. It doesn't happen as often anymore on the 4 remaining shows but it is something I try to go on a regular basis on odaat. The party will be the back drop for a few episodes as things start to unravel. Natasha was being kind of a spoiled brat about her father remarrying Kim in addition to having Dawn and Cassie at the party. I understand her being upset that Cassie was there after what all happened between the two of them in the past and present. I cackled with delight when she ended up seeing Robbie & her arch nemesis kissing. Cannot wait until for the fireworks to explode Natasha is going through a lot right now. She and Robbie are concerned with Bob and Kim's relationship just because of how toxic it has been in the past (and if she only knew that they were close again because Bob was please Kim started a fire!). The Robbie/Cassie affair could only go on for so long before someone in the Calimo family found out; it just happened to be Natasha. Daisy is obviously new to having an affair isn't she? I mean she not once but twice she started at Tyler publicly whilst Lukas caught her both times. Seems like he is putting two and two together. Meanwhile, poor Vinny thinks that there is a chance for the two of them to patch things up in their marriage. This is the first time Daisy has been involved in affair, yes. Previously, she had been cheated on but not the one actually cheating. It is wearing on her but at the same time she is still so wrapped up in Jemma and Frederick, she hasn't dealt with it in a healthy manner. I figured that Helen would be the one who would be lifting Adam's "Spirits" but didn't know it would be this soon. Poor Robin who is doing all of this for a man who might or might not be into her anymore. Great Episode! Bre Doesn't it always work that way on soaps ... the woman he shouldn't be "healing" with is the woman that he does "heal" with an impotent storyline. I agree that Robin is the one we should feel sorry for. But it adds a fun twist to the next phase of the Adam/Robin storyline. Thanks so much for reading! Dallas

Welcome back, Rockwells and Blackmores! I like how you're doing these "event" returns for CD. It fits a series that has a more primetime feel and a more limited canvas. And I think it's fun how you sort of have an "antagonist of the moment" in each one that presumably gets wrapped up by the time each special/miniseries ends. I'm glad you're enjoying these various "special's", Michael. I knew when I ended the regular seasons that I would still want to dig into these character's lives. They are so over the top that it is fun to still write for them but in small doses, and it's a nice escape from ODaaT. There were two dynamics in this one that I thought felt fresh and intrigued me. One was Lucinda and Lydia teaming up. These two women have had so few moments of getting along, let alone connection, through the run of the series, so for them to find this unsteady common ground and have to join forces is interesting to me. I cackled when Lucinda made that crack about her basement, too -- though if I were Lydia, I would've conked her over the damn head for that! The other one that got my attention was playing up the Houston/Lex rivalry. Them being siblings didn't get played TOO much during the original run -- somewhat because of the timing of Lex's paternity reveal and Houston being "dead" for a chunk of time -- so it feels like a natural thing to play out now. YES to both of these! The Lucinda/Lydia thing actually just happened when I was writing it, I never pre-planned it but once I had that first scene of them together, I thought it was gold because they do have such a sorted history so it's fun to have them actually be on the same page for once. They have so much history to play off as well, mostly, that damn basement. The Houston/Lex thing really came from the fact that I wanted Lex to have a much bigger role in this series compared to the Christmas special, as I felt like he was sort of left to the back burner with the Carmen/Mac and Vivian/Kent/Sabine storylines taking the bulk of the time. This feud seemed very organic to play out, and in some ways, are the new Mac vs. Kent. Of course, Houston being in love with Stacey will, eventually, add another wrinkle into this. Speaking of that rivalry, sort of, I was dying at Mateo running out of the house screaming about being gay and Houston deciding to hire him to do his dirty work as a result. "Oh, a crazy stranger! Definitely should trust this person!" It was a little weird that Mateo wouldn't say he's Carmen's brother. Family coming to see her wouldn't be especially suspicious and would seem a lot less weird than some random unidentified gay! I liked how Mac nonchalantly got Carmen to sign a prenup, though. He should be beyond used to this, given his marital history, and I can see how he'd just see it as a practical matter of course while Carmen is shocked by it. Of course, now she's going to damage the marriage by trying to plan for the eventuality of it ending, rather than just being a good wife and the prenup never being an issue. I also like the potential of this whole other family unit you're using Vivian to spin off, and Chase Cooper showing up has promise. Interested to see what comes next! HA! I wrote in the sense that Mateo didn't want to tip anyone off to the fact that he had literally just given Carmen an idea on how to scam the Rockwell's, but yes, he could have just said he was her brother. In typical CD fashion too, the canvas is so small and they all just interact with one another. Like, what actually are the odds that Houston just happens to run into a random homo that is desperate for money when he's plotting to hurt his gay brother? Small world that Kelsey Lake lol I'm glad you like the Cooper's; I thought it was time to have a new family incorporated, mostly like the above statement said, we just need some more people for the regulars to interact with (and sleep with ect). Thanks for catching up, I hope you like the next two episodes! D

Hey, Dallas!!! Daisy seems to be inadvertently sabotaging her marriage with Vinny by sleeping with Tyler for the second time. Not to mention her fantasying her and Tyler having sex with one another too. It seems this affair possibly might affect her re-election as Mayor if she is not careful in the long run. Daisy is still grieving Jemma and the details of her paternity, but she is ruining her own life in the process. She is not only dealing with her affair but also she has a big year professionally with the election coming. It will be interesting to see how long she can juggle all of this before it comes crashing down around her. I think Brad is a better PI then Meggan. Already it seems that he has Max shaking regarding trying to find out what is going on with Adam? etc... To be fair to Meggan, Robin didn't ask her to look into Adam's accident lol But yes, he seems to have a good grasp on how to handle Max. Bob & Kim our so destructive as a couple so if I were one of their loved ones I would just wait until the bleep hits the fan again and again which is probably coming since this whole thing with Felicia and the Boutique fire will blow up in their faces. I really love this part of the Bob/Kim storyline if I'm honest. They had such a difficult year last year, for them to come together over something so insane is fun. But you're right, they are in so over their heads that the shit will eventually hit the fan. Paige too is figuring out that Andrew is too hiding something regarding Helen and Chris. I thought it would be interesting for Paige to slowly start asking more and more questions surrounding Helen and Chris since she and Andrew are getting closer. Will she uncover the truth? Shelley seems jealous of Cheresa about Dawn. I'm wondering how this development is going to go? Dawn Vs. Natasha is always gold! Good Episode! Bre Dawn currently just has a lot of friends surrounding her which is what she needs after everything she has been through. I think it was going to happen that Cheresa was going to like Dawn but Shelley has been there for Dawn. I, too, love the Dawn vs. Natasha stuff because it is rooted in history. Thanks so much for reading! D

Dallas, I'm so sorry to hear about your Baba. You have my condolences. I had a similar experience when my aunt passed away -- she was the one who sort of got me into watching Days, and it's really comforting to still have that link to her even though she's gone. I hope Y&R can be the same for you as you remember your grandma. Thank you so much, Michael. both you, Bre & Andy all reached out and I really appreciate it. It was nice to get away right after the service to decompress from it all. I worked my way through all four episodes over the last week or so. Lots to cover! Even though Jeff convinced Leah to forgive him for being late and to renew their vows (what a lame excuse that he lost track of time, lol), I bet he's going to stay preoccupied with Meggan and her pregnancy. I don't know that he's quite as ready to give up on Meggan as he might think he is. This is the start of a long running storyline. I like the idea of many months going by without the truth coming out, possibly. Jeff and Leah will try to recover from him being tardy, but the pregnancy will be on his mind. I definitely have an idea where this Victoria thing is heading. She's absolutely not herself fight now, and her family and friends are correct to be concerned. Craig had better watch his back! It was sweet of Andy to set up that dinner for Lukas and Donovan. We'll see if Lukas can be mature enough to actually work on the relationship now. That talk seemed like progress. Also very interesting how Melissa called and relayed that news about Nicholas. Knowing what we know and how Andy's about to be involved with the church, I suspect we're on the brink of a new thread, which could be exciting. LIke I told Bre, I really wanted to sort of "end" the Donovan/Lukas/Craig triangle as it has been on-going for some time now. This seemed like the best way to to do it. If Victoria is ill, you are right, Craig could be in trouble. We are still very early in the setting up of this storyline! I'm excited for the Nicholas aspect to hit the series. I get why Natasha and Robbie would be concerned about Bob and Kim remarrying, but at the same time, they're already back together as it is. And it's pretty bitchy of Natasha to want to bust up Kim's happiness, considering that Kim gave her dead son's lungs to Jacob! I guess that's Natasha, though -- always self-righteous and self-centered. I do worry that Kim's going to get herself in over her head with Greg, though. She doesn't have the best track record. And isn't a bit suspicious for her to be trying to keep tabs on Felicia?! Just like when she set that fire, she really doesn't think her plans all the way through. It is one of those soap traits where people have a short term memory, with Natasha and Kim an the lung transplant. Right now, she is just concerned that Bob will get hurt again, which is fair considering all the drama that Bob & Kim have gone through. Kim and Greg will be an interesting angle in this storyline. Will he clue in that she's looking to get information about Felicia? Many different things going on here. Adam and Helen seem ready for a reconciliation. I agree that it's growth for Barbara to encourage that. She usually has such a no-tolerance policy for anyone stepping out of line, but Adam has proven his commitment to his family this past year. I was cracking up at both Barbara and Dawn just being like, "No way can Natasha have this kid!" She and Cory can't FORCE that to happen, though I'm sure they'll try. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but it was fun to have a whole bunch of episodes to burn through so quickly. Hope you're having a wonderful trip! Natasha in particular will try to change Dawn's mind about the baby. But will she be able too? Barbara will continue to really press Dawn to not give the child to Natasha. This is a pretty big arch in the spring months. And yes, Adam and Helen seem like they could reunite ... but where does that leave Robin? Many balls are still up in the air here. Thanks for reading! I really appreciate it Dallas

Read Episodes 531 & 532! Poor Victoria! It seems that her nearly being assaulted again might trigger something in her than she thought that she got rid of. I do like how her loved ones have a right to start to be concern about her. I hope if/when she goes to her therapy that she doesn't go see Cassie. Lol Yes, Victoria is definitely going through a change right now. This is the start of a story that has very long legs. And haha, yes, Cassie, might not be the best therapist for her considering her own mental health struggles. I'm wondering is Robin's Priest brother Nicholas is going to be on the canvas? I mean it would be so random if Melissa called her daughter out of the blue just to let him know that. It still seem that Melissa wants to forge a relationship with her daughter again. However, with her track record I don't blame Robin for not wanting to be close with her mother. Melissa is one of those characters that has the ability to pop in and out of the series as required. It's kinda like some of the Days characters currently. Needless to say, when she is around, she is usually up to no good. Eventually, we will see Nicholas make an appearance on the series! Didn't expect Andy to plan a surprise dinner for two people and one isn't him. I know he is trying to help his friends out but it seems that Andy needs more in his life right now. And Craig cannot catch a break! I thought after Andy slept with Lukas on NYE it would be fitting for him to realize that Lukas and Donovan might be the end game, so he set this dinner up. Really, Donovan/Lukas/Craig have been ping ponging back and forth for a while now, so it seems nice that two of them settle down (or try too!). Plus, this will put Craig on his own journey, which I really enjoy. Got done reading 533 and 534! A lot happened in them and cannot wait to see all of the stories move forward. Cheresa is one of my favorite new characters. She is so sweet and down to earth. I love the way she supported her sister whilst being able friendly with Paige too. Abby, herself isn't so bad herself, she seems she will be driven in order to get her modeling career off the ground which means she might make a few mistakes along the way.[.quote] I'm glad that you are enjoying Cheresa! I think of the reason she has worked so well is that she has been slowly introduced and has scenes with various people. It helps to get to know them and see them interact differently. Same goes with Abby; this will continue as the Gen Next House heats up. I don't blame Robbie and Natasha being gun shy about their father's latest relationship with Kim. Even if they're working together well in and out of the office. This whole thing with getting involved with Greg Lawson sounds like trouble. Yes, everyone is a little unsure about Bob and Kim getting back together since they have hurt each other so much in the past. Kim's upcoming interactions with Greg will be fun as he wants one thing but she is there just to ensure she can get information about Felicia. One step forward, two steps back with Daisy and Vinny. It's obvious that she is still attracted to Tyler since she can't get him off her mind even when she is with her husband. Poor Vinny! It wouldn't be a soap opera if everything was wrapped up a neat bow! (at least most of the time!). lol so yes, it does seem like one step forward, two back with Daisy/Vinny. The question really becomes, how will Vinny handle the truth when he learns that she's sleeping with Tyler? Barbara surprised me with telling Helen that she should get back with Adam. It's not long ago, when she was telling her daughter to dump him when he cheated on her with Natasha. I mean I get it that she is a old school catholic woman who believes in family first and all. I hope if they do get back together they at least get some couples counseling and not from Cassie either. Lol To me, this is growth from Barbara. She knows that she pushed Dawn to the bible camp and that turned out to be a huge disaster; she believes now that if Adam and Helen are together, the family will be even more united. We will see how this plays out! Have Fun In Thailand! Sending positive thoughts to you and your family! It's never easy losing someone so important in your life! Thank you so much! I appreciate all your comments, Dallas

Finally, I have to dedicate the release of episodes to my Baba, who passed away last Saturday. Without her, I would have never been introduced to the world of soap operas. She watched Y&R every single day, even in the hospital the Friday before she left us. Without her watching daily, I never would have watched with my Mom and had this exposure into daytime and soap operas. She is the strongest woman I have ever met in my life and I will forever miss her and love her.
