Hey, Dallas
In between working on Episode 13/14 of Town & Country and Watching Melrose Place I decided to read Episode 488. I liked that this episode centered on the stories that have been backburner for awhile now.
Kim/Bob : It seems like these two our ODAT's version of Victor and Nikki to me. One day they're really happy together and the next they're calling each other vile names and wanting to spit at each other. I do think they need a clean break from one another and perhaps that Bob can reunite with Eva or someone else. And Kim can be alone for awhile to reflect and date casually.
Natasha/Shane/Cassie/Cory: I didn't expect for Shane and Natasha getting this close already. I at least thought that it would've taken a few more episodes before the near kiss would've happened. It is obvious that they're still some residual feelings between the two of them in spite of Natasha being unfaithful with Adam the two of them our still in love with one another on some front. Well at least that Jacob is getting healthy after receiving the help from the clinic.
Max/Robin/Adam : Max still isn't giving up on his quest to take Robin away from his father. You'll think that he would get the hint now but he is his mother's son when it comes being persistent with someone you're obsessed with.
Good Episode

I *knew* Shane and Natasha were going to get close again during this NY trip! It was only a matter of time. Cory isn't wrong to be paranoid, and it's good that he's talking it out with someone to get the thoughts out of his head. The weirdest part is that they're all acting like Cassie Nova is a normal member of society, LOL. This heffa is nuts! Of course she's up to something!
The back-and-forth with Kim and Bob never ends. I liked how it played in this episode, though. Bob being attracted to Kim's vengeful energy made a lot of sense. She'd be crazy to go back to him, but she's also in such a dark place that I could see her being self-destructive like that. It'll be interesting if this darker persona keeps up for her, though.
I'm ready for Max to DO something with regards to Robin. He's so fixated (in a Cassie-like way, as you've noted) and most likely can't sit back for long like this. Time for that story to blow up!
I feel bad for Victoria, but it really is time for her to move on. Robbie has not made her a priority in a long time, and it keeps happening. She can and should do better! I liked that you took the time for a family scene with her, Eva, and Donovan. That sort of stuff is so important in soaps.

Hey guys, thanks for stopping by and reading this episode! This relationship has become so twisted over the years because they've both hurt each other so terribly, but at the same time, neither one really has anyone else in their lives that they are close to, maybe with the exception of Kim and Andy. They are almost like addicts, where they feed off one another and need that high. And, Michael, you are correct, Bob is attracted to this vengeful side of Kim, mostly because she wants Dominick to pay. It's a really interesting dynamic to write and play off of. It is nice that Jacob is on the mend. This part of the story seemed sort of natural that it would happen, but I think the upcoming stuff will be the "surprise" of the storyline. I love that they think Cassie is "normal", when she is far from it. I just remember Eileen Davidson tweeting a fan when she went back to Days and someone was confused about Kristen's friendship with Jennifer. Eileen replied "No one would ever talk to anyone if we remembered everything these characters have done!" that always stuck with me, because its' true. So, for now, Cassie is "normal" haha. Max/Robin/Adam : Max still isn't giving up on his quest to take Robin away from his father. You'll think that he would get the hint now but he is his mother's son when it comes being persistent with someone you're obsessed with. I'm ready for Max to DO something with regards to Robin. He's so fixated (in a Cassie-like way, as you've noted) and most likely can't sit back for long like this. Time for that story to blow up! This is one of those slower building storylines that will have a pretty good payoff when the time is right. Right now, we are still seeing Max really desperate to try to get Robin's attention while getting more and more upset with Adam. The question really becomes, how long until he explodes? I feel bad for Victoria, but it really is time for her to move on. Robbie has not made her a priority in a long time, and it keeps happening. She can and should do better! I liked that you took the time for a family scene with her, Eva, and Donovan. That sort of stuff is so important in soaps. I really wish I added more of these scenes into the series, because I love writing them and like you said, soaps need them. So, I'm glad you enjoyed this scene that really just pushes the family core to the front of the series. Thanks again for reading and leaving your comments! Appreciated, as always, Dallas
