Insomnia gave me time to catch up on the last few episodes, so there was an upside to it last night! I really like (well, not like, but appreciate dramatically) how organic the conflict between Helen and Adam is. Under almost any other circumstances, I'd say Helen was being blind to her father's faults, but she lost so much time with them and so badly wants this to work that it makes sense she'd be this torn. Bringing Reg back to Twin Peaks is only going to make this worse, but it's an interesting conflict for them. I also see some trouble brewing with how Adam and Natasha seem to be leaning on one another in their times of need... Speaking of which, I hope everything with baby Jacob is okay. I bet this crisis is going to make her even more aware of how busy Shane is, though. I'm sort of torn on the Chris/Savannah thing. On one hand, he's using Savannah, but on the other, he does seem to enjoy being with her. It seems like he could get into an actual relationship with her and sort of have his cake and eat it, too. I feel like there could be some shifting alliances in this whole thing. I'm not really rooting for Bob and Kim to reunite. She cheated on him because she was restless, and she's having another man's baby, and Bob hasn't seemed to trust her for months. So it's like, what is there to salvage? I'd kind of like to see her turn on him and align with the Robertsons, tbh.

I'm glad the lack of sleep was good for something! I tried to really create both Adam and Helen's POV in this storyline, so I'm glad that it is working for you. You're right, Reg coming to town will add fuel to the fire, especially because Helen offered Barb a place to stay. Natasha will continue to find ways to feel justified in her lack of support for Shane taking the COS job. As for her leaning on Adam, I felt like this was natural since these four just went through the Cassie saga together. I was definitely going for the "Chris maybe enjoying his time with Savannah" vibe when writing their scenes, so I'm glad that's coming across. These kinds of soapy stories are always fun to tell, the real drama will be when the truth comes out. The fun thing about this story is that it has incredibly long legs - it's still being played out where I am in my writings currently! There are many twists that place the rooting value back in one man's corner. Thanks so much for reading and leaving your comments! D
