Just binged my way through the rest of season 6!
The introduction of Nathan and Slate's arm of the Rockwell family really was an injection of energy for storylines. I can't believe how absolutely crazed Nathan is -- it's like five decades (or however old he is) of resentment are all coming to a boil at once. Did he even turn that tape of what happened by the pool over to the police? He got fixated on avenging Slate's death so quickly and then just spiraled. I'm glad Celeste, by season's end, at least recognized that his intentions truly are not good. She actually had one of her best seasons, as she remained firm in not wanting to double-cross Nathan. It's almost like she's actually learned from her mistakes! I also enjoyed how quickly she figured out Cole's scheme of being "Richard Coleman." It would've been ridiculous for someone who knew him that well NOT to notice for an extended period of time.
Poor Lex is such a mess! He's constantly being brainwashed and drugged and manipulated. That climax on the boat was pretty exciting, though, and I was shocked when he saw the nurse who looks just like Jarek at the end. And yes, Lex, you ARE going crazy.
Kent and Stacey are sooooooo gross. It was bad enough that Kent had banged Lydia's daughter and she'd banged his son (especially since Lex is half-siblings with both of them!!!), but their complete lack of self-control on the day of the wedding was so foul. I'm glad Lydia stood up to Kent and seems to be taking the company from him as payback. That's the one thing that might actually really hurt him.
I'll be tackling season 7 as I have time over the next few months!

Just binged my way through the rest of season 6! Thank you for going back and catching up! I'm glad you liked the intro of Nathan and Slate; the canvas definitely felt like it needed a jolt, and they were perfect to do that, especially since the Mac vs. Kent feud had sort of calmed down over the seasons. I love how their feud really put Lucinda in the middle, and then there was the fake out of the Stacey/Slate affair, which would have been gross. Celeste did show a lot of grown, and smarts, for a change. Once in a while she does get it right, lol. Poor Lex is such a mess! He's constantly being brainwashed and drugged and manipulated. That climax on the boat was pretty exciting, though, and I was shocked when he saw the nurse who looks just like Jarek at the end. And yes, Lex, you ARE going crazy. Yes! Lex is always on the bad end of a drug scheme. In the next season, I purposely made sure that he WASN'T involved in this type of story because of his long history. But I am glad you liked the climax on the boat. It is fun to do more action-adventure stories once in a while. I mean this is a series where, literally, everyone has fucked everyone else. Kent and Stacey are SO wrong but they can't stay away from one another at the same time. We will see how Lydia deals with this company take over in season 7, but it is exactly the way to hurt Kent. Thanks again for going back and reading - I hope you enjoy S7 when you get to it! Dallas
