After the excursion to Santa Barbara, it's fun to see the focus shift back to Twin Peaks and to the Cory/Rebecca/Melissa story. It's obvious that Melissa won't get away with her plan forever -- btw, I like the shading of Rebecca in this, that she wants Cory and to have a family with him, but she's also being manipulated and has been something of a weak link at times -- but the twist of Caroline having second thoughts throws a fun wrench into the works. I've wondered why she was so eager and willing to give up her child to serve this plan. I mean, I know she wants to avenge her brother, but just breaking up Robin and Cory's marriage did that, in a way, so it makes sense she'd rethink things now. I hope we do learn more about her situation, like who's the father of this baby, etc. It's a good set of complications. Also thought the references back to Robin's stillborn child were natural and fitting. That's a good way to use the character's histories to sell a very soapy situation. Is it bad that I just shrugged when Shane told Natasha he'd signed the divorce papers? They've both been sort of juvenile throughout their conflicts, and I haven't really seen warmth between them for a long time, so I'm actually ready to see them move on. It doesn't seem like a healthy marriage, the way they've been unable to have trust in one another. The recent Cory/Natasha stuff has been more appealing to me, TBH. I hope Daisy lets up on Jemma soon. I know she's reeling from the truth, but the woman was raped! Perhaps something will happen soon to push Daisy past her anger and get her to relate to Jemma as a person she loves and can show some compassion for. Oh, and Max is 21 now?! They grow up so fast! How old are Paige and Dawn supposed to be right now? I know Paige was still a minor during Shane's trial. Hope you had a great vacation!

Thanks for stopping in! One of the keys to planning this year was the pacing - it's been this way all season, when one story boils, move it to simmer and let the next boil. Cory and Robin have been pushed into new orbits because of his affair but with the pregnancy, the 9 month mark was bound to hit. I tried to keep true to the characters of Rebecca and Melissa in this tale, hence Rebecca wavering at some moments. The big question is - will Robin and Cory reconnect once this all done or have they drifted too far? And, Robin losing the baby started all this, so it had to be mentioned. Like you, I love when history is used, so it was key for me to mention. And, it is why I made Caroline have a girl. No, it's not bad. After everything, these two have history but little rooting value. Cory and Natasha have bonded and also history, so with Robin also there it could be complex. Natasha vs Cassie willl still be fun though. The Daisy/Jemma story continues into next year; its more how Daisy was conceived that she is struggling with, more than Jemma's lie. I really love the story and where it goes - it's not where you'd think. I wrote Paige as a minor with the sex scandal, but I guess the age difference is different in Canada and the US 😂 Drinking age is 18 here. So, they are all in the 18-21 age , though technically Dawn and Paige are older 🙈 Thanks for reading! We head home tomorrow ! D
