Read today's episode with my coffee this morning!
I'm loving the 90s soap vibe of the figure in black lurking in the west wing. I have my guesses, but I'll hold off on voicing them for now... but this feels very big. This is very Maison Blanche from Days, which is awesome. One of the best stories I can remember. If it's who I think it is, Frederick is a bit of an idiot in terms of the trouble he'll be causing, but he's always been laser-focused on his goals. I also liked the surprises that Andrew and Lukas have apparently been working and staying there. It seems Frederick has poisoned Andrew's mind, so I'm curious to know why he thinks Trenyce and Chris are responsible for Savannah's death. I mean, they tried to scam her, but they didn't make her get in a bathtub with a radio right above it during a thunderstorm, lol.
If Jemma can stay delirious long enough to come out with her damn secret, I will cheer!
Looking forward to the rest of the week.

I have a VLOG that I will release soon that explains some of my inspirations/ideas for this arch, but Maison Blanche from Days is actually one of the big inspirations for me. Next episode the rain storm hits, which is very similar to the Days story. I remember John/Kristen/Tony standing outside in that damn rain for what seemed like weeks! haha. I won't speak on the figure for obvious reasons, but it is a story that has been building for some time now. And yes, Andrew is back! I knew that this would be the perfect time to bring Andrew back, aged of course, because the search for Chris & Trenyce's biological child is a long one. In the meantime, they can have Andrew to deal with. Andrew's anger towards Chris and Trenyce will be there for some time, but it is a fun story line. Jemma and Frederick's secret will be coming out ... sooner than you think! Thanks again for taking the time to read & leave comments! Dallas

First thing I did after making my coffee this morning was to sit down and read today's episode.
You've done a great job with the momentum of this whole week. What a fun, fitting anniversary celebration. The rain, thunder, and lightning really added to the atmosphere of what was going on, and I could feel the suspense as Paige crept upstairs and saw the figure, only to be left up there and have the figure run out the door. And my guess was right! It all seemed too perfect. I'm wondering how in the world Frederick got his hands on her, or why he would have his daughter's wedding there knowing Leah was in the house, but I love it as a plot twist and complication.
I had my suspicions about Jemma, too. We've had a long time to think about this secret, so I figured that it must be some version of her and Frederick having a child together. It's interesting how this will tie together Daisy and Meggan's families. Again, though, how stupid is Frederick, offering this estate for the wedding knowing it could bring this out of Jemma?! Lol. I hope Daisy and Trenyce get over their anger at her fast -- she was RAPED. They shouldn't be yelling at her for keeping it a secret. (I know you threw in the bit about Frederick paying her off, but still.) This should have a ton of ripple effects.
Congratulations again on the anniversary! What a week.

Hey Michael - I just want to thank you for all of your support and comments that you've provided over the years, not only with ODaaT, but with Chasing Diamonds and for your contributions within the community. I've always looked up to you with your consistency with Footprints, and I have used your series as inspiration more times than I can remember. I really appreciate everything you've done and all your feedback; it has made me try to be a better writer! I'm glad that you enjoy this week - the biggest inspirational point for me this week was Maison Blanche from Days; I just remember it as being this epic storyline (if you watch Youtube videos of it now, it's just not the same). So many favorite cast members at this huge mansion with a party going on before all hell breaking loose in this storm. Part of the reason the Vinny/Daisy engagement took so long was because I wanted them to get married at within this storyline arch. I also knew this would be the perfect place for Leah to be revealed to be alive. So much of the storylines this year that have happened, happen at a certain time to ensure everything falls into place. The secret between Frederick & Jemma - I knew that Daisy was going to be their child, but I really needed another dimension of the twist because I have done long lost children before (Eva with Victoria & Donovan), so I added in the element of rape. Of course, it really changes the dynamic of the character of Frederick going forward, but he has been doing so many wicked things already, I didn't think that it would be out of the ordinary for him to lash out like this. And, it now changes the dynamic between Jemma and her family and Frederick and his family. Daisy will now really struggle with the concept of her being the product of rape and struggle to forgive both Jemma and Frederick. There are many layers to this story, which is fun. I suspected many fans would guess that the figure was Leah, but it is still a fun twist. If you think about it, the entire year has been building up to this point. Even back in February when Paige was at Shane's trial, so many people were commenting "Paige needs her mother now more than ever" ect; when characters say stuff like that on soaps, usually it means that the character is about to come back. I still had storyline points to wrap up though (Robbie getting revenge on Bob for "killing" Leah; getting Robbie/Victoria back together; getting Meggan and Jeff together) before she could come back. But now, of course, everything will change for all the characters, and there are many questions still be addressed. Thanks again for all your readership & comments - much appreciated. I'm glad you enjoy this week! Dallas
