Whew! So much ODAAT to keep up with. It's fun to have two installments every week -- makes it feel even more like a daytime soap.
Abby is wicked! It's interesting that Max is so contrite toward Paige, while Abby is leaning into out-and-out villainy now. Especially if she essentially blackmails Andrew into being with her by threatening to out Albertinah. This could go in a variety of ways, which is fun. I'm also glad Paige is standing her ground with Max. There must be an element of her feeling humiliated, considering her first breakup with Andrew, then not realizing they were being played by Max and Paige. It keeps cracking me up how Paige and her parents are so proud of her for... asking her grandpa for a job, which he promptly handed her. LOL. Such a spoiled rich kid. I do like the idea of moving the younger set into the professional spaces to play out the next phases of their stories.
The Cassie/Jacob dynamic is not what I was expecting, but it's interesting. It's weird that Jacob is acting like Cassie is the one who wronged him. I mean, she did a lot of psychotic things and no one in that family should ever want to be around her, but she hasn't really done anything bad or wrong since Jacob brought her back to town. He's the one who strung her along and made a fool of her. I'm still waiting for her to snap over that! But she's sticking it to Natasha at Roboto, which is good.
Is Robbie still mayor, btw? He seems so involved at Roboto that I forgot he's also mayor.
Greg's scheme to keep Dawn away from Cheresa doesn't surprise me at all, but I didn't expect him to pull Chris into it. There's a twist! Yeah, Dawn is a drama magnet, to put it lightly, but guys, this does NOT seem like the way to stay on Cheresa's good side! It's interesting to have this complex dynamic of an adult woman torn between two families who both have a legitimate claim to a relationship with her. It's a lot for Cheresa to navigate.
Was that a chemistry test between Cory and Leah? They're both kind of adrift right now, relationship-wise. I could definitely see them turning to one another. I can't remember if they've had significant interaction before (I guess he was with her sister), so that was a surprise.
And OMG with Craig and his sore anus! LOL. He's really taking that thing all over town! I know he has no logical explanation for what's going on, but he and Shane sure were working overtime to justify how the body might tear its own anus to survive in the cold. Craig has got to start suspecting Lukas soon, right?! Speaking of Shane, I did NOT see a pregnancy for Victoria coming, but that should really kick things into high gear! I can't imagine an unplanned pregnancy is great for her fragile mental health, so it'll be very interesting to see how she navigates this and what Shane's involvement is.
Keep 'em coming! And I'm praying for your dad and your entire family. I hope the world of soaps (and webseries) give you a bit of lightness and escape during this difficult time.

quote author=Michael] Whew! So much ODAAT to keep up with. It's fun to have two installments every week -- makes it feel even more like a daytime soap.[/quote] This really started as an experiment but I do love how much story I go through with the two episodes a week being released. I am glad I am far ahead to continue this because with my Dad currently in the hospital, I’d have to go on hiatus. Abby is becoming a little vixen on the series, for sure. This story really takes new shape in February during the week of daily episodes because if Andrew calls her bluff, will she actually expose Albertinah and Andrew? There are some fun elements happening there. And, yes, Paige really is the definition of a privileged child, but at least she won’t have to rely on that trust fund anymore The Cassie/Jacob dynamic is not what I was expecting, but it's interesting. Since the wedding, Cassie has been lashing out but I thought it would make sense for her to still have feelings for Jacob because she did love him leading up to the wedding day. And Jacob is really confused about what he did because, while his parents were happy, his plan didn’t really make him feel better. So these dynamics are interesting and will play out as we move forward. Is Robbie still mayor, btw? He seems so involved at Roboto that I forgot he's also mayor. Technically, yes, but I’ve sort of moved away from the politics on the show and just have him focused at the company. I thought both times I had the election, it was a similar type of story so I wanted to focus on different story types. As this story unfolds, we will see Greg’s motivation for pulling Chris into the plan to keep Dawn away from Cheresa. And you’re right, Cheresa does have a lot to go through. While she was curious about who her bio parents were, it is another thing to wake up from a coma and suddenly have these people desperate to be in your life. It is an interesting story to tell from Cheresa’s POV. Was that a chemistry test between Cory and Leah? They're both kind of adrift right now, relationship-wise. I could definitely see them turning to one another. I can't remember if they've had significant interaction before (I guess he was with her sister), so that was a surprise. Bre asked me the same thing on Twitter! Haha. I’d say, I wasn’t chem-testing them, exactly. It just struck me that these two characters, who hadn’t had much interaction before, were going through similar situations with their marriages ending and thought they would lean on one another. They only interacted as friends/in laws before when Cory was married to Robin. You’d think that eventually Craig would put two and two together, but in upcoming episodes we will see him have more dreams/memories of the night in question. It just becomes the question of, what will he do when he does finally remember? And the pregnancy situation will rattle Shane & Victoria up a bit. They’ve been too lovey for a while now … and a happy couple tends to be a boring couple! Thanks so much for your thoughts & prayers! I really appreciate it during this time. Dallas
