Dallas,
I just want to say that I love that you have such a huge LGBTQ presence on canvas and that they’re not just side characters to fill a void (obviously we write from what we know and I think it’s amazing that they’re so integrated into the canvas. Now I feel so bad for Donovan in this situation! I’m sure that Craig and Lukas didn’t mean to feel the attractiveness towards one another but it’s obvious that Lukas has deeper feelings for Craig here.
Kim’s lawyer is so devious! I know that nobody here is a saint as the court case gets deeper and deeper into their lives. But I do think that Natasha has done a lot of things that she doesn’t really get to own up to from her past and by her stubbornness in the scene with Cory you can tell she hasn’t really come to terms with her past, either. I have more rooting power in Kim, but alas, I don’t know if any of these three deserve the will to work in their favors after all of this.
I also wanted to say that you’ve done such a great job in showing that Robbie and Paige still have a connection, even if it’s just him being her safe haven away form her parents to get her thought process straight. I don’t remember if they shared too many scenes together when she was a little girl, but I know that at one point Robbie thought he was her father! So it was only fitting for Paige to turn to him at a time like this and I am glad that he was able to come to her rescue even with everything going on at court.
I don’t know why, but I have always rooted for Vinny. Maybe it was the triplet storyline a few years back that really made me come to care for him. Do I think there is something bigger going on here, obviously! I think that everyone should be more alert to whatever it is he has up his sleeve this time around. The fact that Trey was able to pick-up on it though, is a little on the nose. He may want to think up a ploy if he’s going to pull through with this one. I’ll give Trey a pass since she has definitely carried the snoop card in the past! But if she full on figures out the plan before anyone else, I just might root against Vinny!!!
Great episode Dallas, so much fun to read.

Obviously, as a gay man, I wanted the representation of myself, or people like me, on my series. And, I've expanded with female gay characters too. In my mind, it is another way to keep ODaaT diverse and feeling modern, because we are here and we exist! I try to write the "gay" characters/storylines as if they weren't "gay" but just another typical soap storyline. And yes, Donovan is getting the short end here … but really, Lukas hasn't done anything that bad … yet 😉 Kim’s lawyer is so devious! When I first had the idea to kill Bob, I really wanted to ensure his death created storyline and drama for his family; the idea that his children would square off against his wife was really appealing to me. I loved bringing up everyone's sorted past in court too, because it's a soap, so everyone has done many things. Cory and Natasha's marriage will really take a hit with each one taking sides. I also wanted to say that you’ve done such a great job in showing that Robbie and Paige still have a connection, even if it’s just him being her safe haven away form her parents to get her thought process straight. So it was only fitting for Paige to turn to him at a time like this and I am glad that he was able to come to her rescue even with everything going on at court. Yes! I'm glad you remembered that! For years, Robbie believed that Paige was his daughter and when Paige returned to town aged, she kept saying that she had two father's as a result. When she wanted to move out, it made sense that she would turn to her other father figure, in my mind. I don’t know why, but I have always rooted for Vinny. Great episode Dallas, so much fun to read. - Mick In reality, Vinny was a victim in all of this because Daisy did stray on him and their marriage, so I get why you feel bad for him. How he handles this, on the other hand, may or may not be good for his rooting value. It is a fun storyline coming up. Thanks for reading – and welcome back! It is nice to have another friendly face in the community that is also putting out quality work! Dallas
