There is no way one of One Day At A Time's major heroines is really dead. I think Brandy is hiding Helen somewhere and is going to torment her because of her being the one who sent Dawn to Bible Camp where she was raped. Haha! Interesting theory! What I will say is that sometimes to push storyline ahead, I do think characters have to die. I said this when I killed Sofia and Reese (probably the biggest two major characters to pass away on the series). Jacob so far seems like a decent young man. I love how you acknowledge the SORAsing between him and Cory in addition to him coming at the right time with Bob being in a coma. Coincidentally as Tyler and Dominick goes to Simona so they can right the wrong of Felicia being at Raven's Meadow for the boutique fire. It seems Simona is adamant about helping them. However, with Bob being in coma, it seems everything is going to fall on the shoulders of Kim to keep the lie going. Yes, it is an interesting time for Jacob to re-emerge, right when there is a family crisis. However, it gives the character time to have long conversations with his family. And yes, Tyler & Dominick didn't waste anytime rushing to the police with the brainwashing story. This will play out for awhile with various different beats to play because with Bob in a coma, who can collaborate the Robertson's story? Wondering what Leah is going to do about the results of Jeff being Logan's father? I mean they were technically only married in name when Logan was conceived so it seems she isn't upset about it. Nonetheless, knowing Leah she is going to make the situation somehow about herself. But I did like when she was concerned about what she heard and saw from Brad and Max in terms of Paige. It seems like Max is determined to make Paige his girlfriend. Yet, it seems Abby is doing the heavy lifting in terms of flirting with Andrew. It seems Andrew like Tommy Covington is attracted to the wild child too. Seems she is willing to do anything for him to take notice of her which is working. Great work on the dallies. I know how challenging it can be putting out one episode a week let alone five. Great Episode! Bre We see more of Leah wondering what to do in the up coming episodes because she's now in a tough position. Of course, with Leah hearing Max and being concerned about Paige, this will still tie her and Jeff together since they are Paige's parents. It's a messy web! Andrew is of the age where he wants to do the right thing but he is still a young man and likes the attention! Thanks so much for reading every day, I know it is a lot of content, I really appreciate your support! D

Very fun week of dailies! So exciting.
As I tweeted, I'm SHOOK!! I had the same thought as Bre -- Helen's death ("death") basically happened offscreen, and Brandy, who's far from reliable, is our only source of confirmation. So I'm not buying it just yet, either, though I think this could be a thing like Leah where we all know she's probably not dead but the characters grieve and move on, only for it to be revealed way down the road. Basically it's about what it does for the remaining characters in the interim. I really did think Brandy would get busted while administering that second treatment to Barbara, but it appears her reign of terror will go on!
I love that Leah now knows the truth about Logan's paternity. I have no clue what she will do with this info. I wasn't totally understanding the bit about her overhearing Brad warn Max to keep his distance from Cheresa; I guess the inference was that Brad is super-protective? But I'm curious to see what Leah's next move will be.
Bob being in a coma really twists up that whole story. (BTW, was it his voice on the device? Or Kim's? Do we know? I thought I remembered it being Bob's.) It is true that the Robertsons don't exactly have an airtight case, despite strong suspicions. And Simona Lopez is not the one who's gonna solve it for them! Yikes. I really wasn't expecting Bob to be sidelined like this, but it leaves Kim in a really interesting position.
Congrats again! Always excited to see what happens next.

Basically it's about what it does for the remaining characters in the interim. I really did think Brandy would get busted while administering that second treatment to Barbara, but it appears her reign of terror will go on! I'm glad you were surprised at the cliffhanger! It is something I've started to try to incorporate more and more into the dailies to give a shocker at the end of 5 daily episodes, which is a lot of content. You are right, everything happened off-screen so we don't know what really happened. But just like Lake Tahoe with the explosion and Leah, it is always possible that she could come back. But in the meantime, this sets up a lot of drama for Robin, Adam and especially Dawn. The Brandy reveal will be a slow burn reveal. There's still a lot she can do and a lot she can attempt to cover up moving forward. Babs only getting one or two shock treatments wouldn't be as fun either! 😉 I love that Leah now knows the truth about Logan's paternity. I have no clue what she will do with this info. I wasn't totally understanding the bit about her overhearing Brad warn Max to keep his distance from Cheresa; I guess the inference was that Brad is super-protective? But I'm curious to see what Leah's next move will be. Leah really is between a rock and hard place now with the information that she has uncovered. Will she expose Meggan? Time will tell. The piece about hearing Brad and Max was more about planting the bug in her ear that Max might not be so upstanding – as Paige develops a friendship with Max, this could be a concern for Jeff. Yikes. I really wanted a twist in the story that would change things up from a typical "the truth comes out" scenario. Bob being in this crisis really will change the dynamic of the Calimo family now as Robbie thinks Kim was sleeping with Greg and they will have the Robertson's breathing down their neck for Bob to be arrested. For the device, I always imagined it was a robotic voice telling it to Felicia - I'd have to go back to see if I specified if it was Bob's voice. Thanks again for reading – I know it's a lot of content for one week! D
