Welcome back for the final season. I hate that this is the end -- CD has been a steady source of entertainment for me the past few years -- but you should be proud of what you have accomplished.
And what a premiere it was! I always enjoy season finales and premieres that shuffle the deck and set up a new status quo for the new season, so this was pretty effective in that regard. I'm glad there were some meaningful fatalities as a result of the explosion. The core cast is so small that it would've been hard to kill one of them at this juncture, but Brock's death spins Lex off somewhat (also, this is his second love interest to die! What a black widower), and killing off Yuri has a really useful emotional impact on Marat and, by extension, Stacey. I also like how messy everyone's relationships are now. The Lydia/Houston secret coming out really has a lot of repercussions. Also, these people need to stop sleeping with their relatives' lovers, LOL.
Toby definitely seems like a crackpot. Something is up there. He knew too much in too convenient a way. You know it's bad when Lexington senses a red flag about someone!
I kind of just assumed Odette was dead since it was said that Garrett Owen saw her in the pool, but the way it was written was ambiguous. I was still a bit surprised to see her alive at the end. She is truly tilted! Also lucky she just walked out of the damn explosion unscathed. Do we know exactly why Owen is helping her so much? Or will we learn?
I wasn't expecting Lydia to wind up paralyzed after all she has been through. This woman's life! I wonder if this will really bring her and Mac closer together for good. I don't expect Kent to sit on the sidelines forever, no matter how bad he is now. Though I would hope Sabine has learned her lesson about manipulating...
Eager to see what the rest of the season has in store!

Welcome back for the final season. I hate that this is the end -- CD has been a steady source of entertainment for me the past few years -- but you should be proud of what you have accomplished. Hey Michael! Thank you for enjoying this series. It's been such a ride and so different than ODaaT, that's part of the reason I've loved it. It is a bittersweet time, for sure. There'll be a blog post coming, closer to the end of the series, that will give more indepth reasoning for my decision to end it after 5 seasons. The Lydia/Houston secret coming out really has a lot of repercussions. Also, these people need to stop sleeping with their relatives' lovers, LOL. The opening scene was really the hardest thing to write on this series to date, tbh. I could have went with many different routes; like everyone at the hospital following the explosion. But, I went with this way, which I thought was great since the episode started and ended with Odette. Haha, Yes Lex doesn't have the best track record with men. He's had his share of lovers on this series. And you're right, no big player died -- mostly cause we are in the last season. Toby definitely seems like a crackpot. Something is up there. He knew too much in too convenient a way. You know it's bad when Lexington senses a red flag about someone! Toby did know a lot ... this is a fun story this season. And I've always thought MILK was so hot as a guy, hence why I cast him. LOL. I don't expect Kent to sit on the sidelines forever, no matter how bad he is now. Though I would hope Sabine has learned her lesson about manipulating... Eager to see what the rest of the season has in store! As the season unfolds, we will see more reasoning into why Garrett is helping Odette. There is a method to his madness. And yes, Lydia, can't walk. She could be in that wheelchair forever This really does put a new spin on her relationships with both Kent and Mac. Thanks so much for reading! Next episode is out Monday; then June 18th episode 3 and the entire season will be free to binge! Dallas
