Hey guys,
It's been awhile since I've had a blog post, and I thought today would be a good time to share some thoughts with you all. Obviously, the big news around the AP right now is the return of Chasing Diamonds for it's second season, so here are some of my thoughts.
I have been planning the launch of the second season for some time now. I had the season written before the first season was even finished, if you can believe that. When I was thinking of the launch time, because the first season came out on 6/6/16, I thought 11/11/16 would be fun because it is similar to season one. However, I did not take into account everything else that would be going on in the world. As a Canadian, I didn't even realize that the US election would be the same week, and I certainly did not expect the results to be what they have turned out to be. Like so many, I was rather horrified to see the results unfold with Donald Trump being elected; I can understand everyone's nervousness and worry about the circumstances. I even thought to myself that I should postpone the release of season 2 because there are more important things going on in the world right now than a silly webseries. But, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I should release it as planned because no one should be able to stop people's creativity or what brings them joy. And thus, Chasing Diamonds did premiere on Friday.
Episode 2.02 will come out Monday, and then the following Monday while episode 2.03 will be the feature episode, the entire season will be available to read for those who like to binge read. Like season 1, I loved this idea of it being like a Netflix series where the first couple episodes are released, almost as a teaser, and then the full season is there. I also find this season to be very fast-paced and binge worthy.
I'll touch on some highs and lows once the season is officially over, but for now, I hope you all enjoy the second season of Chasing Diamonds. I had a blast writing it! And, I can confirm that there will be a third season; I just finished finalizing my plans for it. Now comes the fun part: writing.
Until next time,
